Dr. Sasikaran Nalliah is a specialist general surgeon and highly experienced endoscopist accredited by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA). He has special interests in advanced laparoscopy, abdominal hernias, colorectal surgery and gallbladder surgery.
Dr. Nalliah completed his undergraduate and surgical training in Sri Lanka, before moving to Australia in 2008 where he undertook advanced general surgery and laparoscopy training, working in both tertiary and regional hospitals in Queensland and Western Australia.
Dr. Nalliah is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of General Surgeons Australia (GSA). His commitment to continuous professional development ensures his patients always receive high standard and the most up-to-date evidence-based care.
With a passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge with surgical trainees, junior doctors and medical students, Dr. Nalliah is a senior lecturer in surgery at The University of Queensland and a supervisor for surgical training at Hervey Bay Hospital.
